The Denny's Stunt
By Jester.

Materials:
20-30 Actors.
20-30 50's style costumes (Poodle Skirts, Dippity Doo, Black Leather, Lucky Strikes, etc).
One Boombox concealable in a gymbag.
20-30 Black Trenchcoats.
Money for all participants to order dinner.

Staging:
Send an actor into the Dennys a few weeks in advance. Map out the place. Table locations, aisleways, etc.

With the Map, rehearse a 1950's musical number (Rock Around the Clock, Greased Lightning, something of that ilk). Practice the 50's style dance moves. Get the song chosen on tape. Do not use CD as they can be jostled too easily.

If possible, infiltrate the Denny;s in question. Get a worker there onto your side. BE CAREFUL! Outside of your Troupe, no one is to be trusted.

Performance:
All actors get dressed in costumes. At roughly 3:30 am (After Bar Rush, when things are starting to thin out) all Actors enter the Dennys. In trickle groups of 2-5 every 5 min or so until the Troupe is there. All in black trenchcoats. This will automatically place everyone on edge. Synchronize watches so that at 4 am the Boombox is turned on full. All actors stand up, whipping off the Trenchcoats, and begin the dance. When the dance is done, all Actors return to their seats and finish their meals. If asked to leave, you leave. We have already made our scene. No need for another. A business card for the Theatre of Reality is left with one of the tips.
