Hey St. Mae,
I found this on a one dollar bill, and thought you'd like to hear it.
Goes as follows:
Salva San Patricio a quien resiba este billete
Tendra mucho dinero ecriba 7 billetes de a una
There's a few misspellings, I think, but, if babelfish plus
my guesses plus my friend Lorelei's guesses are right, it
translates to:
Saint Patrick saves whomever recieves this bill.
You will get a lot of money if you write this on 7 dollar bills.
So, three things:
1. My first guess was that it was Santeria, but I believe
it's not Santeria, because in Santeria, Saint Patrick is
actually corresponding to the snake god of Santeria (I think
the name's Damballa-Wedo, but I forget).
2. There's a Catholic Currency Cabal.
3. Dollar bill writing may seem like an infinite resource
right now, but eventually different memes will compete on
that ground.
